Whether you were in for 3 years or 30; the end of Military Service comes to us all. Transitioning from the Military culture, lifestyle and work environment is difficult. Trust me; I lived through that transition. I retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service in 2011. The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) classes did not fully prepare me for the culture shock, both in and out of the workplace.

I had a ton of questions that needed answered:

Why do Civilians act like this?
Does everyone out here really move this slow?

Where’s the sense of urgency?

What do Civilians mean when...

they say they just don’t understand where I’m coming from?

At the time, I found no-one who could Coach me through the important transition back into civilian society. I had friends who went through the same transition, and all had great advice. What was missing was the self-discovery. I didn’t necessarily need to do what my old Command Master Chief did. I needed to figure out what Lee Smith needed to do!

I kept thinking to myself, “I need to find someone to help me through this!”

“If I’m able, I will never let another Veteran go through this alone. Not on my watch!”

I have been afforded the gift of now being able to help YOU! As a formally trained Professional Coach, I will bring my skills to bear to help you discover what the right move is for you. We will answer all those questions together, and set you on the path to success, in and out of the workplace.
